400 I.M. at 2009
NAIA Championship (me)
I led throughout the butterfly and backstroke legs during the difficult
400 I.M., only to lose my lead over the last two legs. My stroke stayed
together and I was still able to make the All-America team because of this
swim. Take notice of the length and intensity of the butterfly leg.
Alexander Popov's
freestyle (former W.R. holder)
Alexander Popov is a former world record holder and Olympic gold
medalist who many believe has the best and most efficient freestyle
ever. Most great swim coaches encourage their swimmers to model their
freestyle after his.
Michael Phelps swimming
butterfly
We all know how great Michael Phelps is as a swimmer. His butterfly is
not only fast and powerful, but it is the most technically correct stroke
that swimming has seen. Let's all take notice of his pull underwater, not
just the way it looks above water.
Kitajima's
breaststroke (W.R. holder)
As the video states, Kitajima uses his glide. The current world record
holder has an amazing pull and a kick that is more powerful than anyone in
the sport. His strong kick enables him to glide into his next pull,
giving him a chance to sweep wider and stronger in his pull than anyone.
